Is it goodbye for the Chevrolet TrailBlazer?

The car buying attitudes of many consumers had been greatly impacted by the soaring of fuel prices. As a result more and more consumers are opting for a much smaller vehicle that can offer better fuel economy. It is therefore not surprising why SUVs are loosing its appeal to many car buyers.
GM which is one of the largest automaker has changed its course of plans in terms of vehicle production to better adapt to the demands of the automotive market. The company will cease production of the Chevrolet Trailblazer in the year 2010 when Chevrolet gets a more carlike SUV as a replacement.
Maybe the Trailblazer is one impressive SUV especially in terms of better handling and performance but GM seems very much aware that a truck-based SUV like it may not be what many consumers need right now.
GM will still however cater to SUV demands as they plan on producing a smaller Hummer instead and other SUVs that has carlike qualities and are more fuel efficient than traditional SUVs. Also by 2009 GM officials confirmed that they will offer 14 so-called crossovers (CUVs).
The TrailBlazer maybe nearing its end soon but TrailBlazer parts will never run out from Auto Parts Inner. It has been consistent in providing even hard to find parts for various vehicles.

The special edition Mercedes SLK 55 AMG

It is already confirmed that Mercedes Benz will be releasing the special edition SLK 55 AMG which is based on the SLK Ultimate Experience Asia.

What's special with the new SLK 55?

Well, one of the features integrated in this exciting vehicle is its AMG 5.5-litre V8 engine enhanced to 294 kW/ 400 hp and 520 Newton meters of torque. It is coupled with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC with manual drive program and AMG aluminum shift paddles on the steering wheel which makes the car faster than the previous SLK 55.

Another notable feature of the new SLK is its roof. The retractable roof of the previous SLK was changed with a fixed one and it is made of unpainted carbon fibre. This, plus the use of lightweight reinforced plastics and carbon fibre for the interior relatively decreases the car's weight.

To ensure that racing enthusiasts had their pulses racing for the new SLK 500, Mercedes engineers also upgraded the suspension system and recalibrated the steering for improved response, grip and durability. They also used a 19-inch forged aluminum alloy wheels which weigh almost a third less than that of the wheels used to a standard car. The AMG high-performance brake system ensures a perfect deceleration while a brace in the engine compartment provides for a more lateral dynamics and additional rigidity.

What's more striking about the new SLK is that amidst all the additional coolers, increased power and the larger brakes, it is still significantly lighter that the previous SLK model.

There are still no definite plans as to the new SLK invading the US market. The German car buyers however will have the privilege to own first the new SLK as it scheduled to be offered there this coming July. But many would sure be lining up in the dealerships soon as it also hits the North American market.

While I am still waiting for the new offering from Mercedes Benz to be available in the US, I might as well get some Mercedes Benz accessories from Auto Parts Inner to prep my car for the next drive around town.

Another award for Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

The Gallardo Spyder was named as the Best Sports Car in Robb Report Magazine's 2006 "Best of the Best" awards. The car emerged as the winner among many other contenders like Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Ferrari F430 Challenge and the Spyker C8 Spyder.

Ever since its debut at the Frankfurt Motor show, the Gallardo Spyder has received numerous awards and good reviews already. Its attractive new design and competitive performance makes it a hot item among drivers.

"This award brings awareness to our continuing efforts to re-sculpt the automotive sports car landscape with innovative technology and design solutions." says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

What I personally like about this car is its glass rear window that provides options either to be lowered or left raised to serve as a wind blocker. The roof lowering/raising system of this car with electrohydraulic actuators that can be done with just a few push buttons makes this car all the more special.

Just like me, for sure many are not contented to just merely feast their eyes upon the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. It is indeed very tempting to immediately let $195,000 escape your pockets to drive a vehicle like this.

With regards to auto parts needs may it be for your most luxurious sports car or for your simple vehicle, Inner Auto Parts offers these parts with the best deals that wouldn't let you think twice of getting money out of your pockets.
